What an exciting time to enter the world of alpacas! These beautiful animals, both suri and huacaya, are the key to a world of luxurious fabrics for clothing as well as soft, supple yarns for weaving, knitting and other hand work. Their unique fleece quality makes it lighter, warmer and less irritating than other fibers. The gentle nature of the animals themselves creates a peaceful environment that makes working with them relaxing and enjoyable. Join our adventure into alpaca fiber arts by visiting our Fiber Arts Studio page. We will be offering classes in spinning, knitting, crocheting, felting and weaving as well as being an outlet for alpaca fiber products. Our yarns and handwork items are now available at the local farmer's market in Moorpark. The market is held every Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Staples parking lot on the corner of Los Angeles Avenue and Miller Parkway. We would love to see you there!
